Tuesday Quick Links

This article from the New Yorker is near and dear to my heart because of my kids’ heritage. Guatemala is a beautiful country full of a beautiful people that have too often been betrayed and forsaken by their government, their “elites,” the international community (especially the United States – the history of our involvement in this country is beyond shameful), and even mother nature. The article captures this sad history, but reads like a first rate whodunit. Thanks to Carol for passing this one along.

Remaking the Three Stooges makes the Clash of the Titans remake seem like a great idea. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Thanks to Nick for this one.

If you are in the Central Florida area, Orange Cycle’s big spring sale is going on this weekend. Yeehaw, JLo needs some new bike shorts. Yeah, just try to get that image out of your head right now.

Put your hands up and back slowly away from the Twitter feed.

Only 11 more days until Record Store Day. Get out and support your local independent music store. I’m looking forward to the 7″ Love Hurts Side by Side release (Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris on vinyl = beyond sweet).
