Rules of the Road

Just wanted to take a minute to share these Rules of the Road for cyclists that the most awesome folks at Road ID have put together. There’s some great safety tips here, everything from how to ride with a group, basic cycling safety, and, my favorite, cycling skills. I’m still working on my “track stand,” which allows you to make basic stops without unclipping from your pedals. All very useful and essential if you spend any time on a bike, but most drivers should take the time to learn some of the rules as well. (You people in cars are a menace sometimes!)  You can (and should) visit their site (linked above) to view all of the Rule of the Road series, but I’ve embedded my favorite post, Cycling Skills, below. Road ID makes excellent products to keep you safe on the roads whether you run or cycle, and has a pretty sweet giveaway going on right now, so definitely check out their site.
